Traditional Orthodontic Treatment But
With a Unique Twist

Metal braces are the most common orthodontic treatment throughout Las Vegas, but at Orthobar, we use the Damon braces system to take your braces experience to the next level. Opting for Damon braces provides numerous advantages and leaves our clients satisfied and confident with their smiles. This advanced system isn’t just about straightening teeth — it’s about offering a smoother, faster, and more comfortable journey to a beautiful smile. Unlike traditional braces, Damon metal braces use a specialized sliding mechanism that reduces friction and pressure on your teeth, leading to quicker results with less discomfort.

THE DAMON BRACES EXPERIENCE

Orthodontic technology is constantly improving, and we're proud to offer the latest to patients of all ages in our Las Vegas office.

Damon braces are a fantastic option for those seeking orthodontic treatment. Most people consider metal braces awkward and uncomfortable, but Damon metal braces have raised the bar. Self-ligating braces are attached directly to the wire, so there are no elastics to adjust as we straighten your smile.

Some of the benefits of Damon metal braces include:

Comfortability: These metal braces are self-ligating, making them more comfortable and effective than traditional designs. They use a sliding mechanism instead of elastic bands, reducing friction and discomfort.

Efficiency: Fewer adjustments are needed, which means Damon metal braces often result in shorter treatment times.

Improved Oral Hygiene: Damon braces are easier to clean than traditional braces since they have fewer components and no elastic bands that can trap food particles, reducing the risk of cavities and gum issues.

Aesthetics: While not completely invisible, they are slightly less bulky than traditional braces, providing a more discreet orthodontic treatment option.

Better Tooth Movement: Thanks to their unique design, Damon braces allow your teeth to move more easily. This means your treatment might go quicker, and your teeth could straighten faster.

At Orthobar, we’ve seen firsthand how these metal braces transform smiles and boost confidence. Our patients leave feeling more self-assured, knowing their new smile looks and feels amazing. Damon braces are the perfect solution if you’re looking for a modern, comfortable alternative to traditional metal braces.

Overall, Damon metal braces are great at fixing complex tooth issues and use gentler pressure for a more comfortable experience. They can work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other treatments, shortening your treatment time at Orthobar and making them an attractive option for individuals seeking orthodontic treatment.

What Are Damon Metal Braces Made of?

Brackets

The Damon System uses a patented slide mechanism to connect the brackets directly to the wire, eliminating the need for elastics. That means a better appearance and more comfortable treatment!

Glue

When it comes to Damon metal braces, the process starts with a special dental adhesive, often referred to as glue, that Dr. Petersen and Dr. Grahl use to carefully attach the brackets directly to your teeth. This glue is designed to be strong enough to hold the brackets in place throughout the duration of your treatment yet gentle enough not to damage your enamel.

Spacers

Spacers, also known as separators, are tiny elastic rings or “donuts” that our orthodontists use to create space between your teeth before applying your metal braces. While they may be small, they play a crucial role in the early stages of your orthodontic treatment. These little spacers are designed to gently push your teeth apart to make room for the metal bands that will eventually be placed around your molars.

Wire

We’ll thread a wire through each bracket, and your orthodontist will shape and curve it to guide your teeth into straighter positions.

In most cases, we’ll use the wire to attach all of the upper or lower teeth, but we may cut it depending on your oral issues and the customized treatment plan we make just for you.

Orthodontic Bands

We cement these stainless steel rings to your teeth using dental bonding agents.

These bands anchor your braces and orthodontic appliances, but they aren’t always necessary. The primary function of orthodontic bands is to help serve as a stable base for the wires and brackets, ensuring that the forces needed to move your teeth are evenly distributed and effective.
