Your Las Vegas Orthodontist
Dr. Brady Petersen was born and raised right here in Las Vegas.
He loves our city and loves serving your family, getting to know you, and making you laugh and smile.
After working as a general dentist for two years in the Las Vegas community, he pursued his passion for helping people obtain the smile of their dreams by attending a three-year advanced post-doctoral specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at UNLV-SDM.
Dr. Petersen earned his Master’s Degree in Oral Biology and has since completed his Orthodontic Board Certification with the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO).
Types of treatment
Braces
Orthodontic braces are a highly effective tool that orthodontists use to align teeth. They consist of ceramic or metal brackets that are fixed onto the teeth and connected by wires and rubber bands. These elements work together to apply gentle pressure to your teeth, gradually moving them into their proper positions. Throughout your treatment, you'll visit our Las Vegas orthodontics office regularly for adjustments and progress checks.
For patients with complex orthodontic issues, braces can be an excellent choice. They can often align teeth and close gaps more quickly than other treatment options, resulting in a shorter overall treatment time. Additionally, braces may be a more affordable option, as they don't require some of the more advanced technology or equipment used in other treatments.
Clear aligners
Clear aligners have become a popular alternative to traditional braces for orthodontic treatment. These aligners, such as Invisalign®, straighten teeth using a series of clear, removable trays instead of brackets and bands.
Made of comfortable plastic material, clear aligners are custom-designed to fit snugly over your teeth. To achieve the desired results, patients must switch to the next tray in the series every 1-2 weeks. However, wearing aligners for only 20-22 hours per day will significantly affect the effectiveness of the treatment and lengthen the treatment time.
